Among the challenges addressed by Netfarma is the need to improve medication adherence, particularly among people who experience difficulties managing their medication. In this context, the publication highlights the MAP02 – Medication Adherence Platform project.
The solution involves an integrated system for recording and monitoring medication intake and sharing information with healthcare professionals, family members and caregivers, with the potential to incorporate features such as sensing, micro-weighing and artificial intelligence.

The innovation developed through the MAP02 – Medication Adherence Platform project is presented by The Portugal News as a solution designed to support safer and more autonomous medication management.
The project combines an intelligent medication dispenser, a mobile application and a medication adherence monitoring platform, while also allowing for the integration of advanced technologies to track medication intake and support the different stakeholders involved.
